THINGS THAT MAKE LIFE BETTER (PART 3)

Welcome + welcome back! Here is week 3 of “things that make life better”. I will be sharing weekly tips and insight about improvements I make in my health, career, appearance, relationships, personal development, finances, & self care (follow along to see the journey)!

Ways to Chose Yourself

1. Be gentle with yourself + your body. I usually go to the gym around 7/8am but last night I was up late working. I listened to my body and slept a little longer, then headed to the gym in the afternoon.

2. I’ve been focusing on strength training because that is where I see the most changes in not only my body, but my energy levels & better sleep! I’m wearing an @acta.wear set & my @apl sneakers. I only wear them at the gym (highly recommend to get a pair of shoes solely for the gym)! Here is the more affordable option for the workout set.

Here is my go-to gym workout routine⬇️
1. barbell squats with weights (3 sets of 10 reps)
2. step ups with weights (3 sets of 10 reps, on each side)
3. 12-3-30 (12 incline, 3 speed, for 30 minutes)
4. 10 minute sauna

Finding a workout routine you love is essential to being consistent. I’ve been going to NYSC for 8 months and it has helped me so much with my fitness goals. One of the pillars of my journey to 30 is health/wellness, and this year is off to a great start with my gym schedule.

3. My @apple AirPods are game changers. Yes, they are expensive, but I found that the investment was worth it! On my walks to the gym, in the busy NYC streets, all I hear is my music/podcasts when I turn on noise cancellation. It helps me feel centered & focus on myself. Get a free airpods engraving here!

4. I spent the afternoon filming content for brands. I use @capcutapp to edit all of my videos (including the one you’re watching right now)! Try it here!

Make Yourself a Priority

5. I got a surprise PR package from @drinkpoppi! I’ve been an avid customer for 2 years now, and definitely one of their biggest fans. It’s a prebiotic/probiotic drink, and I love having it as a fun switch up to water. Raspberry rose is the best flavor imo! Try it here!

6. My favorite walking shoes are the @newbalance 2002R. They feel like you’re walking in a cloud, & I love the grey color. Here are the exact shoes!

7. Skincare is a priority for this year & this product is a holy grail that I haven’t used in a while. @kiehls dark spot corrector completely cleared my skin in 2021 & I just bought it again to fix my skin discoloration. Here it is!

8. Lighting in my apartment is essential to my mental health. Since it gets dark at 4pm, I turn in my @wearebrightech lights when I need to work, & when I am ready to relax (love my red light so much)! Here is my favorite lamp & here is the red light!

9. My hydration is another priority for me. My @hydroflask is the 40oz & my goal is to go through 3 bottles a day. Here is the hydroflask I use!
