The “Pinterest Aesthetic” is what everyone is talking about and strives to achieve! I get a lot of my picture inspiration from Pinterest! It may seem overwhelming at first, but Pinterest Goals is easier than you think! The strategy to tackle this is to condense the components of the pictures into manageable segments! I took the liberty of braking these components down for your convenience! With all the pictures I’ve taken, and photoshoots I’ve planned, these are my 5 tips to achieve eye-catching Pinterest aesthetic pictures!
I have a Pinterest board where I derived inspiration from! Check it out here! Also, check out my Like to Know It here to shop my looks from my Instagram posts! Instagram is nk.medani.

TIP 1: FIND GREAT LIGHTING
Lighting will make or break a photo! I try to shoot all my photos right before & during golden hour, (3-6pm) which is when the light is ‘soft’ & the warmest of the day! I suggest to avoid 12-2pm shooting because the light is the most harsh of the day. Always test your shot by taking a photo of you location before you start your shoot.
TIP 2: USE PROPS TO CREATE PINTEREST AESTHETIC
Props are perfect for enhancing the overall aesthetic of the photo! My go-to props are polaroid cameras, shoes, books, blankets, purses, and sunglasses. In photos, play around with where you place the props, whether it be next to you, or holding them!
TIP 3: FOLLOW A COLOR PALETTE
Color palettes make photos look cohesive and more appealing to the eye! Even if the outfits are not the same color, you can plan your feed to incorporate at least one similar color in the background, sky, etc to make it look cohesive.
TIP 4: SHOOT FROM DIFFERENT ANGLES
I believe shooting from various angles is a key component to Pinterest aesthetic pictures. Aerial shots look very dramatic in a good way. Ground up shots look strong and powerful. Close up shots showcase gorgeous details that people really enjoy seeing!
TIP 5: REMOVE OBJECTS FROM BACKGROUND
This is an easy way to clean up your photos! I use the Lightroom app “heal” feature to remove objects/people from my backgrounds)! You can watch tutorials on how to properly use the feature, or do the classic trial and error and see what works best for you!
BONUS: Use THIS and THIS for taking your photos solo!
